SWEETIE for biozentrale spreads sweet

For 16 years, the “RUNDSCHAU für den Lebensmittelhandel” is honouring the most innovative new products of the year in the snacks and confectionery segment and is supported by an independent jury of experts from the fields of trade, nutrition science, industry and marketing.

In 2020, the jury evaluated our spread agave coconut caramel as well as the spreads mango apricot and peanut date (both available in stores and in our online shop from June) and awarded them the SWEETIE award in the category “spreads sweet”.

The jury verdict: “With its innovative strength, Bio-Zentrale sets new impulses in this segment”.

“It is a great honour for us to be presented with this industry award  for one of our products again after 2019. We are pleased to receive such positive feedback on the result and the quality of our work,” says Managing Director Johannes Mauss.

Eco-test ‘very good’ rating for our BioKids Cocoa

The good news: “We can recommend a product with a ‘very good’ rating. […] The Bio-Zentrale BioKids cocoa drink is organic, Fairtrade certified and rated ‘very good’ in terms of harmful substances. The cocoa content of 33% is also relatively high compared to many other products”, is the clear verdict of the magazine ‘ÖKO TEST’ in its 05/2018 issue.

In the category of cocoa powder for children, our BioKids cocoa drink was the only product to receive the ‘very good’ rating and was declared the test winner.

SWEETIE for biozentrale Snack’n Go

Once a year, the trade magazine ‘RUNDSCHAU für den Lebensmittelhandel’ awards the top confectionery and top snacks of the year with the SWEETIE award. In 2019, our three biozentrale Snack’n Go varieties ‘Crunchy & Fruity’, ‘Crunchy & Spicy’ and ‘White Chocolate & Fruit’ were the winners in the ‘Organic’ category.

The jury’s verdict was clear: “Superfoods, vegan, protein rich and a calorie content of less than 100 kcal per package – this concept is in line with current trends and the zeitgeist of “convenience and health.”

The SWEETIE is an indicator of the innovative strength of confectionery and snacks and is awarded by an independent jury of experts, consisting of retail purchasing managers, confectionery and food experts, based on touch, quality and design.

‘BioFach Stars’ for biozentrale like rice

The trade journal ‘Lebensmittel Praxis’ named the three varieties of the innovative side dish ‘like rice’ BIOFACH STARS 2019.

“The idea behind the now established pasta alternatives based on legumes has been transferred by Bio-Zentrale to rice”, according to the editors.
