Clean River Project
We believe in the power of nature. Active environmental protection and meaningful sustainability projects are very important to us. This is why, for example, we supported the Clean River Project in the summer of 2019. It is a non-profit environmental, art and education project that works nationwide to promote clean rivers and seas and aims to reduce plastic waste pollution by actively cleaning up bodies of water and educating people.
Pioneer and initiator of the Clean River Project, Stephan Horch, has already paddled from Winningen to the North Sea in 2015 to draw attention to the problem of plastic waste pollution in our waters. He reached numerous people all over Germany, drew public attention to the topic for the first time and reported on his experiences in the Bundestag (House of Representatives of the Federal Republic of Germany).
In August 2019, Stephan Horch got back into his kayak again. During the Clean Up Tour 2019 he paddled roughly 750 km from Koblenz to Berlin. We supported him in his commitment by sponsoring a route and a day’s stage from Herne to Münster. It allowed us to set an example for environmental protection together!
A strong performance by Stephan Horch and the team of the Clean River Project e.V. And a great commitment for our environment!
